While there are multiple options available for brain health in the Springfield area, Genesis Life Enhancement Center is unique in that instead of focusing only on the brain, we take a multifaceted approach. The body functions as a whole with every piece interdependent upon each other, addressing one piece or factor of our health is not enough. Optimal brain function depends on our entire system working in harmony. At Genesis, we believe health is not merely the absence of disease, but a complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being. Looking at the body as a whole, we take an integrated approach to improving your brain functioning and overall health. According to the American Psychological Association, chronic stress is linked to six leading causes of death including heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. Stress on the body is a combination of many converging factors. Our founder, Christine McGough, has developed a method over the course of ten years where we address the physiological, emotional, nutritional factors, as well as addressing both physical and emotional trauma in our custom method called MEND. Any time we have stressors in any of these four areas, the body, mind, and spirit suffers. We work to identify the sources of stress (SOS) in your body and then come up with a comprehensive plan to relieve the stressors in order to allow your body to heal itself.

Our intake process begins with a consultation to assess your specific needs, which may include lab work, QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram), educational/IQ testing, or a physical exam. We then customize a program to address your specific needs so you can MEND.
